About Calvary Baptist Church

Calvary Baptist Church is a traditional Bible believing New Testament church seeking to make a difference in people’s lives through preaching the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Calvary Baptist Church of Tremonton was founded September 10, 2000 by Dr. Cooper Abrams III and his faithful wife Carolyn.  The Lord has used Dr. Abrams and Mrs. Carolyn to establish three solid Independent Baptist churches in the state of Utah since 1986.  Dr. Abrams is a faithful servant of the Lord who is zealous for the Word of God.  Mrs. Carolyn Abrams is faithful wife and servant of the Lord who has diligently served the Lord in the ministry with Dr. Abrams as a Sunday School teacher, pianist, organist, church treasurer and many, many other needs within the church.

The Abrams’ faithfulness to the Lord has touched the lives of countless people, and more importantly, has honored the Lord.

Calvary Baptist Church elected Andrew H. Sanford, August 14, 2016, after a successful examination by a council of Pastor’s from Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah, to be their new pastor effective September 1, 2016.

Andy and his wife Dana have been faithful members of Calvary since the church was founded in 2000.  Andy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theological studies from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary.   Andy has been an Assistant Pastor, Sunday School teacher, and other positions in the church.  His wife Dana has served in various positions in the church from clerk to Sunday School teacher.
